Psychology of Aging, Graduate Study Program
The programs offered at the University of Michigan take a lifespan and contextual perspective on aging. Graduate students interested in adulthood and aging are primarily affiliated with one of two programs:
1) Developmental Program

2) Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience

The primary area of affiliation depends on substantive research focus. Courses may be taken across both program areas. There are many opportunities for collaborative research internships and joint mentorship across areas.
All admitted students are guaranteed a five year funding package. These involve a combination of teaching and research assistantships which are an integral part of the psychology graduate training program and are mentored by the faculty.
